Srinagar: A 23-hour long search and cordon operation was conducted in Gogji naar village of Chrar-e-Shareef area in Budgam district.
Official sources said that after receiving input about the presence of three militants, the police, Special Operation Group (SOG) and armys 53 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) cordoned off Gogji naar on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 pm.
The forces laid barbed wires around the village and closed all the entries and exits, they said, adding a tight cordon was placed in the area. However, after conducting searches no militant was found in the area and later the cordon was lifted today at 2:00 pm, they said.
