SRINAGAR: Kupwara Sessions Judge on Monday deferred the bail plea application in a sex abuse case, in which a woman in connivance with co-accused is alleged to have pushed her niece and other minor girls into sex trade.
The bail plea of all the four accused has been deferred till next hearing with the directions to Public Prosecutor to file the objections. The case is being heard by District and Sessions Judge Kupwara, Mohamad Ibrahim Wani.
The court has already framed charges against the accused under section 363, 376, 511, 109 RPC 5/6 Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA).
With that commencing of the formal trial against the accused facing the charge the court directed the prosecution to lead the evidence on next date of hearing listed on July 08, 2015.
The court had earlier rejected the bail plea of Sheeda (the alleged kingpin) and her husband G M Mir, an SPO in JK police, the court sources said.
Police has booked Shaheena and her husband Fayaz Mir also an SPO besides Abdul Majeed Mir of Sumbal and G N Dar of Sumbal, presently putting up at Dangerpora Baramulla. In this regard an FIR 21 of 2015 under sections 363, 376, 511, 109 RPC 5/6 – PITA stands registered at Police Station Kralpora.
Police report reveals that on April 15 a complainant lodged a written complaint at Police Station Kralpora alleging kidnapping of girls by some unknown persons. It was also alleged that the girls have been duped and taken to somewhere in Jammu.
A special police team after registering a case rushed to Jammu where they identified and recovered the girls from hotel Jai -Lakashmi. The girls were reportedly minor.
During the course of investigation it was revealed that a victim (name withheld) was lured by none else but her maternal aunt (Massi) identified as Shaheena for lucrative livelihood and compassion offer.
The sources privy to the investigation quoting statements of the victims said that the duped girl had trusted her aunt who was almost like her mother. They travelled together to Jammu.
At Jammu, sources said that the accused Gulam Nabi and Majeed served the victims fried chicken while Shaheena advising them (the victims) cooperate and not to cry so that they will ensure Rupees three Lac and job for them.
However, after a while, the aunt abandoned her sisters modest daughter with other victim in a hotel room.
Some well dressed people with officer looks walked in. The people were sex clients we came to know later, one of the victims have reportedly revealed in her statements.
The official reports said that the police team after recovering the girls from a Hotel have seized some vital evidences including some important entry records of the hotel besides, a copy of photo identity card belonging to one of the sex clients involved in the illicit trade. Police has also secured important call details of the accused.
