Shabir Shah Calls for Anantnag Shutdown
SRINAGAR: Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah has called for a day long shutdown in Anantnag (Islamabad) district on June 19 (Friday) to mark the anniversary of Dr Qazi Nisar Ahmad who was assassinated on that day 22 years back .
Being a great religious scholar and a firebrand speaker Qazi Sahab dedicated his whole life to the service of Islam and political freedom of his nation and continued with same spirit till he achieved martyrdom, Shah said and appealed people to observe shutdown as tribute to Shaheed-e-Ummat.
