BANDIPORE: About 40,000 Kgs of cocoon production costing Rs. One crore has been targeted to be achieved in Bandipore district during this harvesting season of cocoon.
This was stated during a training camp organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bandipore at Baharabad Hajin in which a good number of progressive farmers and rural youth participated. Programme Coordinator KVK Bandipora, Dr. A.H. Hakim, Scientists from SKUAST Shalimar and KVK Bandipora besides officers from Sericulture department were present.
The experts on the occasion delivered lectures and imparted necessary training to the participants about cocoon processing besides jam making and squash making.
