TCI Max beats Anantnag Kings in super-over
Srinagar: HK Stars smashed Mirza Gladiators while Anantnag Kings TCI Max de-feated the Anantnag Kings in the ongoing Police Public Cricket Premier League at Kashmir University Cricket Ground today.
The first match was played between Mirza Gladiators and HK Stars. Mirza Gladiators won the toss and elected to bat first. Mirza Gladiators scored 112 runs losing four wickets in allotted 20 overs with captain Umar scoring 61 runs knock. In reply HK Stars chased the target in just 16.3 over. HK Stars Captain Abid Nabi scored unbeaten 40 runs besides took one wicket and was declared Man of the Match for his all-round performance. Abid also bagged most sixes award as he hit four sixes in his knock.
The second match of the day was played between Anantnag Kings and TCI Max culminated into a tie and was decided in a Super Over. Anantnag Kings won the toss and opted to bat first. A quick fire knock of 54 runs in just 22 balls of Jalil Bhat helped Anantnag Kings manage a handsome total of 157 runs in 20 overs. Chasing the target TCI Max also scored 157 runs with a fine knocks by Jahangir Lone and Majid Dar both scoring over half century but could not help the team to get past the winning target. The fate of the match was declared in a Super Over. In the super over TCI MAX secured 11 runs while Anantnag Kings scored only 7 runs.
Majid Dar the captain of TCI Max was declared Man of the Match. Most sixes award was given to Jalil Bhat for hitting 04 sixes in his knock. Best catch award was given to Musiab.
