Modi led govt corporate regime: G A Mir

Srinagar: Pradesh Congress Committee held a one day political convention of Party functionaries, senior leaders and block presidents of district Anantnag on Tuesday.

The convention was presided over by former minister and President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee G.A. Mir. Speaking on the occasion Mir expressed concern over the political instability in Jammu and Kashmir State arising due to “anti-people policies” of coalition government.

“From the day one PDP-BJP coalition came into existence, it seems Jammu and Kashmir have lost its identity and continuous controversial statements by BJP leaders have disturbed the socio-political scenario of the State. The credit for this goes to PDP only.  People of Jammu and Kashmir have never in the history, experienced such a government,” he said.

“Despite passing through the turmoil, people of Jammu and Kashmir have whole-heartedly exercised their franchise during the past and recent elections,  they have always reposed faith in Electoral Process every time, but the present regime has disappointed them to a large extent, resulting people have lost faith in the present regime and I can say it with full confidence that people want change in Jammu and Kashmir and the day is not far, when PDP-BJP coalition will be forced  by the people to step down,” Mir added.

Referring to the NDA government’s one-year in office, he said, “NDA government led by Narinder Modi has made the lives of farmers impossible and are putting them deliberately to a great loss to benefit the corporate houses.”
