Srinagar, May 21 (KNS): Throwing rules to wind, LAWDA authorities have allegedly undermined the court order and allowed the illegal construction in one of the areas of Srinagar in broad-day light.
According to KNS correspondent, one person namely Mushtaq Ahamd Bhat of Bazaz Mohalla Amda Kadal, Srinagar pleaded before the court of Municipal Magistrate Srinagar that one of the person in his locality has violated the rules and raised the construction against the norms. He prayed before the court that LAWDA be directed to take early action in this regard.
The court later directed the LAWDA to act on ground. However, Mushtaq claims that LAWDA threw the rules to wind and took no action against the violator. He alleged that it seems the person who has undermined the norms of construction enjoys political as well as the official patronage.
Mushtaq maintained that LAWDA instead of taking any action facilitated the construction which is threatening to him for being a neighbor and dangerous for the fragile environment.
