Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir government has terminated the services of a teacher who had obtained his job on the basis of a fake degree, an official spokesman said here.
School Education Director Simrandeep Singh yesterday terminated the services of Raj Kumar of Billawar tehsil who was appointed as Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) in 2003 and was regularised in 2009, the official said.
“It came to the notice of the department that Raj Kumar had used a fake and forged marks sheet of class XII to obtain the job. The verification conducted by the eduction department proved that it was a fake degree,” he said.
The Director, School Education, ordered immediate termination of the services of the accused teacher and asked the SSP, Kathua, to register a case of fraud and forgery against him.
