Jammu: A Jammu court on Wednesday acquitted two militants, who were allegedly involved in terrorism activities almost after 20 years before.
According to reports, the two militants including a Pakistani national were acquitted by First Additional Sessions Judge, Mohan Singh Parihar, after prosecution failed to prove its case against them.
The persons were identified as Syed Sajjad Bukhari of Pakistan and Riyaz Ahmad Haji of Kashmir.
The duo were arrested by security agencies in 1995 on charges of their involvement in terror activities which had lead to the killing of innocent people in Jammu and Kashmir.
Bukhari was reportedly one of the oldest Pakistani prisoners in India who had been kept in several jails across the country.
