Move afoot to saffronise JK
Srinagar: While expressing his deep concern and anguish over the increase of influence of RSS and its allied parties in the Jammu province, Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani said that a formal campaign has been started at government levels to separate this division from the Kashmir and to paint it with the saffron colour and the key and top posts in the administration are being snatch from the Muslim community at the first stage.
In a statement,Geelani said that the attitude of the BJP members in the Assembly is very aggressive and rebellious in this regard and they are hell-bent upon to prove the Jammu and Kashmir as two separate entities and they are openly working in this direction.
During a meeting with the former Chief Justice of Azad Kashmir Syed Manzoor Hussain Geelani at his residence in Hyderpora, Syed Ali Geelani said that the Kashmiri people are passing through very tough times.. The communal forces of India have for the first time got a direct entry into the administration of Kashmir and they want to implement their long pending agendas of changing the Muslim identity, demography and the status of the Kashmir dispute as soon as possible. He said that by forming an alliance with the BJP, Mufti Sayeed has opened the doors for the implementation of wicked policies of RSS and willingly or unwillingly, he has to be the facilitator for all this process.
Geelani said that the reports coming from the Jammu division regarding the activities of the communal forces are very concerning and most worrying issue is that the government machinery is being openly and fearlessly used for this process. A strong movement has been launched to remove the Urdu language which is the identity of the Muslims, from even the revenue, police, judiciary and education departments and not only the transfer of some key posts which are occupied by the Muslim officers but these posts are also being filled by the communal elements who can manage everything for their agendas.
The pro-freedom leader said to his guest from Azad Kashmir that Jammu has always been the first target of the communal forces and in 1947 these forces not only carried out genocide of the Muslims of this region but they forced about 15 lakh of them to migrate to Azad Kashmir and Pakistan.
Geelani said that the migration of Pandit brothers from Kashmir was very unfortunate but nobody talks about those Muslims who were forced to migrate from the Jammu division to the Azad Kashmir or Pakistan and whose properties have been occupied and captured by these communal forces. Geelani said our struggle is not any Hindu-Muslim issue but it is the issue of right to self determination of millions of Kashmiri people. While welcoming the Yatris and tourists to the Kashmir, the pro-freedom leader said that it is not our favour to them but also our religious duty to welcome them.
