We face huge financial crunch: Akhter
Srinagar: Reacting to the police action against casual labourers in Srinagar city, Peoples Democratic Party Thursday said that these daily rated workers are the creation of previous NC-Congress government.
NC and Congress ruined the future of these daily-rated workers. These parties for mere vote bank politics exploited these daily-rated workers and adjusted them in different government departments without paying them salaries. The previous government provided these fake orders to these casual labors, Education Minister Nayeem Akhtar said adding that Jammu and Kashmir is on the brink of destruction and this is the handiwork of previous government.
All the treasuries are empty. There is huge financial crunch. Rupees 10 thousand crore liability is on our head. NC-Congress Government looted the state from 2002 to 2008. The previous government has ruined the state, Akhtar said.
He however added that the present government will not escape its responsibility and will take the State out of the mess. Just wait and see how we will bring the state on right track. People are the best judge and we will show everyone what good governance means and how government is run, he said.
