Budgam: The left over candidates for Inspector posts in Power Development Department (PDD) are up in arms against the department as they have been alleging that selection process was marred by nepotism and favoritism.
To fill up the 31 Inspector posts in PDD, Service Selection Board had issued an advertisement notice in February 2013 for Central Kashmirs Budgam district. The written test was conducted in November 2014 and the final selection list appeared in April 2015. To our surprise and shock the candidates with high percentage have been dropped while the candidates with low qualification and lower percentage have been selected. We are dead sure and can tell you with authority that candidates have been selected on the basis of political affiliations, a group of left over candidates from Budgam said.
They appealed authorities to probe the matter.
