Srinagar: Police Thursday said it arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 1 Kg of brown sugar from them here last evening.
On a tip off, a police party from Lalbazar apprehended three suspected drug peddlers at Pandith Bagh. On their questioning, police recovered 1 Kg of Brown sugar from their possession. The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Mehraj Din Marazi, Wahid Ahmad Sheikh both residents of Sonawar and Tawheed Yaqoob resident of Namlebal, Pampore, a police spokesman said in a statement.
A case FIR number 21/2015 under section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered against the drug peddlers and investigation has been taken up.
