Srinagar: With the government failing to release the salaries of SSA and RAMSA teachers, the Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) president and Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) chairman Abdul Qayoon Wani Wednesday threatened protests at New Delhi.
If state government fails to release the salaries of SSA and RAMSA teachers within one week EJAC would protest against HRD Ministry in New Delhi, Qayoom Wani said.
The HRD ministry has allocated the funds for the SSA and has held states Education department responsible for not submitting the Utilization Certificates.
Wani termed the non-payment of salary to SSA/RMSA teachers as gross human rights violation. For the past six months around 30000 teachers of SSA and RAMSA are without salaries. This is absolutely inhumane and cruel on the part of government, compelling us to gear up our units for result oriented struggle against this non- serious and anti-teacher policy of the government, he said.
