Awantipora: Police Wednesday registered a case against an assailant who allegedly beat his uncle to death in South Kashmirs Awantipora town of Pulwama district.
Police sources said that over some family dispute one Ghulam Muhammad Shah attacked his uncle Ghulam Mohiuddin Shah who received a fatal injury. The wounded person was shifted to SKIMS where he succumbed to his injuries.
We have registered a case and hunt has been launched to nab the assailant, said a police official.
Demanding the immediate arrest of the culprit, the family members of the slain man alleged that the assailant is roaming freely as he is very close to some political leaders.
