Srinagar: The district administration has arranged boats at various police stations for the residents of Srinagar and Anantnag to use them in case of any emergency.
The arrangement has been made in view of adverse weather forecast by the Met department predicting heavy rains in the region during the next 48 hours, an official handout said today.
Six boats have been made available at Police Station Pantha Chowk, (Cell No. 9596770550) 06 Boats, four at Police Station Parimpora (Cell No. 9596770558), 11 at Police Station Nowgam (Cell No. 9596770559), four each at Police Station Sadder (Cell No. 9596770523) and Police Station Raj Bagh (Cell No. 9596770524), three at Police Station Maisuma (Cell No. 9596770628), one at Police Station Batmaloo (Cell No.9596770526), two at Police Station Kothi Bagh (Cell No. 9596770623), two at Police Station Chanapora (Cell No. 9596770529) and three at Police Control Room Srinagar (Cell No. 9596222550), Deputy Commisisoner Srinagar said in the handout.
Eight boats have been kept available at district administration Anantnag.
