Srinagar: Doctors Association Kashmir has ridiculed the Government order wherein the doctors have been banned from prescribing drugs in branded form.
The head of association Dr G M Mir has termed the order as anti people.It seems no thought process has been applied before issuing such an order.This order is going to endanger the lives of people. How can a chemist decide that which brand of drug he wishes to dispense and ban the qualified doctor..This is too illogical.We all know that most of the chemist shops are run by ill qualified people who are not well versed with the pharmacology of a particular drug.This order should not be implemented till govt does not make it sure that all the drugs are available in government run hospitals. Once the drugs are made available doctors will not have any problems in prescribing drugs in generic form.
