SRINAGAR: Authorities on Sunday announced closure of all educational institutes upto 8th class in Kashmir Valley in the wake of incessant rains which have led to the flood like situation in the Valley.
Schools in Valley shall remain closed on March 30 and 31 due to bad weather conditions, said Director School Education, Showkat Ahmad Beigh.
The schools to re-open on Wednesday (April 01), he said.
Earlier, authorities postponed all Kashmir University and board exams scheduled for March 30 and 31.
10 class exams which were scheduled for Monday (March 30) have been postponed due to bad weather and fresh date will be announced separately, Secretary BOSE, Veena Pandita told GNS.
All the Kashmir University examinations which were scheduled for Monday and Tuesday stand postponed due to inclement weather, Controller Examinations Abu Salam while talking to GNS said.
Fresh dates for these examinations shall be notified separately, he said.
