SRINAGAR: A Head Constable of the Jammu and Kashmir Police has gone missing from central Kashmirs Ganderbal district, reports said on Friday.
According to a police officials, Mohammad Shafi Parray (belt no. 02/ BD) of Wussun Ganderbal went missing since today morning. He had not returned till last reports came in.
Parray, according to the officials, is on the rolls of District Budgam and has been absent from duty for the last one year.
He has been suspended on 31/01/2014 in case FIR no 06/2014 u/s 307.353, 510,427/RPC stands registered against him in police station Ganderbal.
Already notices served to him by DPO Budgam, he said, adding that first notice was issued on 14/01/2015 and second notice was accordingly issued on 27/02/2015.
He further said that today we have registered a case after Parrays family files missing report in police station Ganderbal and further investigations have been taken up.
We have constituted a special team to trace him, the official said.
Meanwhile, family members of the Parray staged a protest demonstration at Wussun Ganderbal demanding his whereabouts. (GNS)
