Srinagar: A 55-year-old woman from Nowhatta area of Old City in Srinagar died due to swine flu taking the death toll due to the deadly virus in Kashmir Valley to eighteen.
PRO SKIMS in a statement said that one fresh death was reported in last 24 hours in the hospital.
A female from Nowhatta was admitted on March 04 and died due to the virus today in SKIMS. The patient had associated co-morbidities in form of CKD (chronic Kidney disease), she said.
“53 patients were seen at the special OPD of the SKIMS hospital today out of which samples of 9 were taken for testing,” she said, adding that the total number of patients positive for H1N1 till date is 394.
She said the one patient of swine flu patients was admitted at the isolation ward of the hospital.
