Concerned about the unabated sufferings of the Kashmiri women,
Acknowledging the phenomenal resilience exhibited by Kashmiri women,
Appreciating the valor, conviction and consistency of the Kashmiri women’s struggle against various crimes perpetrated by the Indian State,
Considering the widespread and the institutional nature of the crimes perpetrated by the Indian State and its forces,
Noting the absolute legal, political and moral impunity provided by the Indian State to all the perpetrators of crimes,
On the occasion of the 2nd Kashmiri Women’s Resistance Day, we the participants of the Kashmiri women’s conference on “Resilience, Resistance Remembrance: Womens struggle for Justice in Jammu and Kashmir”, resolve to work towards:
1. Document and highlight all the crimes perpetrated against women and the reality of Jammu and Kashmir.
2. Resist as individuals
3. Contribute and support the collective struggle for all rights, especially womens rights.
4. Highlight and encourage womens voices and stories and end the blackout of their voices.
5. Assert our space in the political movement and on other social issues.
6. Commemorate our own days and set up memorials.
7. Pledge to create more spaces for women.
