As political deadlock continues to hit common interests of masses like every wrecked house awaits rehabilitation as well as compensation, it appears that Kashmir is again caught in uncertain arena. Anyone can feel the chaos, confusion as situation is likely to traumatize the people. Though people have been habitual of such conditions but the people were carried away by masquerading promises of healing the injuries. Before elections, once non existent, hopes jumped over the zenith. These hopes were all around one-man, Mufti Mohammed Sayed.
People voted for him but he still failed miserably while attempting to cross over the magical figure of 44. Kashmir was fed of of longest ever term of a chief minister, and consequential to it Mufti saw a rise. Whatsoever happened but Mufti can still be a hero if he dares to take on Bharatiya Janata Party.
On one side it appears that the duo are set to forge a coalition, but still PDP manage to add “may” or “may not” for almost to a sealed deal. Addition of such uncertainty can’t be apprehended right now as politicians move now will not be for now. Though it might be lame to overview the possibilities yet Mufti can turn the game in favour of masses. After Delhi debacle, BJP will be cautious while in power. But no one except Mufti can turn up the favours of people as well as of BJP.
The conditions for alliance can put green party again on front foot. Removal of Afspa, restoration of talks with Pakistan and returning back of power projects from NHPC would earn PDP laurels otherwise this coalition will merely be suicidal. Mufti can earn from the desperation of a communal party in case his faith is provoking him to work for the welfare of his people. In other case he might go back to supreme power of democracy.
