Srinagar: Police Monday raided the Agriculture Store in Central Kashmirs Budgam district and seized 30 irrigation pump sets, allegedly dumped by some employees there to sell in open market.
A police official said that they received information that some government employees have dumped pump sets in the Agriculture store with a purpose to sell them in market to make quick bucks. Police raided the Store and recovered some 30 pumps. We are investigating the case and arrests are expected in coming days, he said adding that initial investigation has revealed that these hand pumps which were meant for people were dumped by some employees to sell in black.
The police officials said that an FIR vide number 27/2015 under section 420,409 have been registered in this regard.
