Srinagar: The left-out aspirants for the post of Accountant Cum Data Entry conducted by Rural and Development Department for South Kashmirs Pulwama district Wednesday staged a protest in Press Enclave Srinagar alleging that selection list was published without the consent and signatures of two top government officials.
The Department published the selection list in a lesser known Daily to hide their foul-play while we can prove it with authority that the selection panel committed fraud and selected those candidates who greased their palms, the protestors said.
The left-out candidates said that before every interview, it is mandatory to publish the short-list of candidates selected for the interviews, but due to unknown reasons, the department kept the aspirants in dark. How come they drop a post graduate qualified student and select a matriculate instead. Soon after appearing in the written test, touts approached us and demanded hefty amounts from us for our selection, that we refused to pay, the protestors told CNS adding that BDO Tral and Assistant Director Planning refused to sign of the selection list as they knew deserved aspirants were cheated.
The protestors raised slogans against ADC Pulwama Nisar Ahmed and alleged that fraud was committed on his behest and it was he who cheated them. Soon after publishing the list in a lesser known Daily, The ADC Pulwama left the Valley and is inaccessible to us, they said appealed Vigilance Organization to take cognizance of the fraud committed by the officials.
