SRINAGAR: The commercial activities in south Kashmirs Tral township resumed Friday afternoon after remaining shut spontaneously since Wednesday against the killing of two militants in a gunfight.
Two local Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants, Abid Khan and Sheraz Dar, were killed in a fierce gunfight with forces in Handoora village. An army colonel identified as MN Rai and an SOG were also killed.
Witnesses said that though the area was shut till Friday afternoon but soon congregational prayers concluded people opened shops and resumed their commercial activities.
