Srinagar: Spokesperson Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) Wednesday said that Dr Nisar ul Hassan has been suspended for raising voice against illegalities which is vindictive.
In a statement he said, DAK president has been victimized for raising issues of public concern and his suspension is simply a means to deter him from speaking out on legitimate grievances. Dr Nisar unearthed infamous spurious drug scam which killed hundreds of precious lives and his endeavors in this connection should have been applauded rather than unleashing reign of terror against him.
He has been raising voice against corruption, nepotism and favoritism in health care which is responsible for its mess and has adversely affected patient care. His suspension is against the expression of free opinion which is an inalienable right of every citizen and states are duty bound to protect it. Freedom of expression has to be respected rather than criminalizing it, he said.
