Srinagar: The 66th Republic Day was celebrated across the Kashmir Valley with great enthusiasm, gaiety and fervour today.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Rohit Kansal was the chief guest at Republic Day function in summer capital at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar who unfurled the tricolour and inspected guard of honour. Later, he took salute of the march past, in which contingents of BSF, CRPF, ITBP, J&K Armed Police, IRP, Womens Police Force, District Police, NCC, Fire & Emergency Services, students of various educational institutions participated.
On the occasion, artists of Information Department, Cultural Academy, Youth Services and Sports and students of various schools presented a scintillating cultural bonanza.

BARAMULLA: Republic Day was celebrated at District headquarters, Baramulla where the Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone was the chief guest who unfurled National flag and took salute at the march past. Contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, Forest Protection Force and School children participated in the march past.
ANANTNAG: 66th Republic Day was today celebrated with full fervor and gaiety at Govt. Degree College for Boys Anantnag. Deputy Commissioner Tasaduq Jeelani hoisted the National Flag and took salute at the march past.
KULGAM: Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety in Kulgam district at Degree College where senior officers of Police and Civil administration were present on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Nissar Hussain Wani unfurled the National flag and took salute at the march past.
BUDGAM: The Republic Day was also celebrated at Sports Stadium Budgam where the Deputy Commissioner, Manzoor Ahmad Lone unfurled the National flag and took salute at the march past. Contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, Forest Protection Force and School children participated in the march past.
PULWAMA: The 66th Republic Day was celebrated across the district and the main function was held at District Police Lines where the Deputy Commissioner, Sajad Ahmad Khan unfurled the National flag and took salute at the march past. Contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, Forest Protection Force and School children participated in the march past.
SHOPIAN: The Republic Day was celebrated at the district headquarters with Deputy Commissioner, Bashir Ahmad Bhat unfurling the National flag at Fruit Mandi and took salute at the march past by contingents of District Police, CRPF, IRP, JKAP, Fire and Emergency Services, Home Guard, NCC and students of various schools of the district.
BANDIPORA: The Republic Day was celebrated at Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium, Bandipora where the Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Shah Faisal was the chief guest who hoisted the National flag and took salute at the march past. Contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, Forest Protection Force and School children participated in the march past.
KUPWARA: The main function was held at District Police Lines Kupwara where Deputy Commissioner Mr. Itrat Hussain Rafique unfurled the National flag and took salute. Contingents of CRPF, IRP, JKAP, JKP, Forest Protection Force and School children participated in the march past.
GANDERBAL: The Deputy Commissioner, Sarmad Hafeez unfurled the National flag at Ganderbal and took salute at the march past. The contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, Forest Protection Force and School children participated in the march past.
KARGIL: The Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor(CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Haji Asgar Ali Karbalaie hoisted the National Flag at Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium Biamathang and took salute at an impressive march past comprising contingents of J&K Police, NCC, Army, Civil Band Party and students of Government and private schools.
