Srinagar: As Kashmir region Friday witnessed large scale protests against blasphemous caricatures, the Muslims in Doda district in Chenab valley of State also took to streets against the French magazine.
Sources and witnesses said that worshippers in all the mosques of Doda town condemned strongly condemned the blasphemous sketches of Prophet which were published by French Weekly.
Soon after Friday congregational prayers, the people from almost all the mosques of the Town took out protest rallies against the publication and assembled at Jamia Chowk in Doda, the witnesses said. The protesters said any insult to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is unacceptable to every Muslim.
