GANDERBAL, JANUARY 19: According to Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal as communicated by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, weather is likely to deteriorate from January 21, 2015 onwards.
Moderate precipitation is expected from January 21 to January 23, 2015 and avalanche activity may take place in the avalanche prone areas above 2700 M. altitude.
Accordingly in view of the apprehensions of avalanche, people of Tehsil Kangan particularly in Gund to Sonamarg areas are advised not to venture into slops of highest and hilly areas and shall keep cleaning snow from roof tops of their houses to avoid any eventuality.
