JAMMU: A contingent of around 50 CD Volunteers working in J&K State Social Welfare Board, volunteered their services and assisted the Traffic Police Jammu to maintain smooth flow of traffic, on the occasion of Road Safety Week.
At Patta Bohri Talab Tillo Chowk they assisted Dy. SP Traffic Usha Kher, who appreciated their voluntary spirit.
Earlier DIG Traffic Nissar Ahmed and SSP Traffic City Mohan Lal briefed the CD Volunteers and assigned them various junctions which are highly prone to accidents and traffic jamming.
The public in general and motorists in particular, highly appreciated the CD Volunteers, donning fluorescent yellow jackets who helped the old-aged persons to cross the roads as well.
