Srinagar: The State Congress Chief Saif-ud-Din Soz Thursday suggested Governor N N Vohra not to appoint advisors and advised him to make the administrative secretaries accountable who have been given the powers of ministers.
The present situation suggests that Governor rule will stretch for a long period in Jammu and Kashmir. So I suppose Vohra should not appoint the advisors as it will be difficult for a common man to reach them for the solution of their problems, Soz told KNS.
He said that the Governor should make accountable the secretaries who have been given the powers of ministers. The flood affected people of Jammu and Kashmir are facing a lot of day-to-day problems which needs to be addressed immediately. It is the duty of the Governor to resolve the problems of the people, Soz said.
It is to mention here that Governor has empowered Chief Secretary and administrative secretaries to carry out routine functioning of the administration.
Vohra, who has served as Governor of J&K from 2008 to 2013, was re-appointed for a fresh term in 2013 is presently the head of the state.
