Srinagar: To mourn the demise of Smt. Swarn Lata Sahai, mother of Additional Director General of Police (Armed), Mr. S. M. Sahai, a condolence meeting was held at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here today. Smt. Sahai passed away this morning at her residence Raju Park Khanpur, New Delhi, an official spokesman said in a statement.
Chaired by Director General of Police, Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar and attended by senior police officers, the meeting observed two minute silence. They expressed their grief and sorrow on behalf of all ranks of Jammu and Kashmir Police on the demise of Smt. Sahai. They conveyed their condolences to Mr. S. M. Sahai and expressed their sympathy with the bereaved family in this hour of sorrow.
Meanwhile Governor Vohra has expressed grief on the sad demise of mother of S M Sahai, ADGP Armed, J&K.
In a message of condolence, the Governor has conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
