JAMMU, JANUARY 15: The 30th North Zone Inter University Youth Festival-2015 started here from today.
Around 1000 participants from 25 Universities of seven North Indian States are participating in the festival who are expected to exhibit their cultural talent with zeal and zest.
In all 25 events would be conducted in competitive mode. The events will cover theatre, music, literary and fine arts activities. University of Jammu has got the honour to host this event this year.
In this connection, a cultural procession took off from Parade Ground and culminated at the University of Jammu while moving through Purani Mandi and Raghnath Bazar in city interiors.
The procession was flagged off by Director General of Police, Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar in the presence of Prof. R. D. Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, Cultural Committee of University of Jammu and other dignitaries.
Mr. Rajendra also addressed the gathering and wished good luck for a successful event.
