ANANTNAG: Snow clearance preparations were today reviewed by DDC Kulgam during on spot visit to Waltangoo Nad and Nobouk in the district. To compete with any disaster successfully, two awareness camps were today held at Nobouk and Waltangoo of Kulgam District during which the participants were thoroughly awared about the technique and mechanism to be adopted during any disaster especially during heavy snowfall and floods.
District Development Commissioner Kulgam chaired both the awareness camps at the said places. Speaking on the occasion DDC urged upon the participants to adhere to the instructions given during the awareness programmes by the experts. He also said that adequate storage of essential commodities have been made all around the District so that no one faces difficulty during the winter season.
During the programme tools and implements for combating the disaster were distributed among the participating volunteers besides 50 blankets at Nobouk and Waltangoo each. District Development Commissioner also took stock of the arrangements made for snow clearance and availability of essential commodities at both places.
District Development Commissioner urged upon all besides volunteers to work with close coordination so that any kind of disaster is met with zero percent error.
