SHOPIAN: On the direction of Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, a team of officers made surprise inspection of various Government offices in district Shopian today.
During the inspection some officials were found unauthorizedly absent from their duties. The Deputy Commissioner immediately directed the concerned Heads of Departments of respective departments to seek an explanation from the erring officials and put them under suspension wherever plausible explanation was not furnished.
The Deputy Commissioner also has warned that severe punitive action would be taken against officials who dont take their duties seriously.
