SRINAGAR: Terming the statement of Peoples Democratic Party regarding West Pakistani refugees as vague, Hurriyat Conference (G) Monday said that instead of adopting a clear stand on the issue PDP has advised Modi government not to take any hasty decision as it according to them can have serious consequences.
In a statement Hurriyat (G) said, New communal government of India has made plans to change the demography and the Muslim identity of the state and instead of resisting it, the local pro-Indian parties have adopted a regretful policy which is a condemnable. Recommendations of the Indian parliamentary committee regarding the permanent settlement and giving the voting rights to the West Pakistan refugees is not any surprise issue but it is the long pending and a set agenda of RSS and now after the 60 years they have got a chance to practice it and with the help of ruling party BJP, they want to erode the demographic status and Muslim identity of the Jammu & Kashmir.
The statement of the PDP is actually an advice to the BJP that not to act in haste and progress with caution.
Pro-Indian parties of Jammu & Kashmir are doing their politics over the issues like Article 370, Autonomy, Self-Rule but if we minutely observe the facts then we will find that these parties are not only responsible for the slavery of the people of this state but they are solely responsible for the weakening of the article 370 and they have never taken this issue seriously. If there would have been little bit sincerity in their politics then they could have passed a bill in the assembly to restore the special status of the state but they use these slogans merely for the vote bank politics and deceive the simple people of the state, he claimed.
The spokesman alleged that the NC, PDP and other local pro-Indian parties act as a bridge between the occupation of Jammu & Kashmir and India and their existence and their power politics has become a hurdle for our freedom struggle.
There is no difference among pro-Indian politicians and no one of them is lesser evil or bigger evil. They are only concerned with the chair and to grab this they accept no principles. They can sell the whole Kashmiri nation for this purpose. The Hurriyat once again cautioned that if any attempt is made to implement the parliamentary committee recommendations regarding the refugees, then it will be resisted tooth and nail and every Kashmiri will stand against it, he added.
