SRINAGAR, JANUARY 02: In view of extreme chilly conditions especially during the wee hours of morning and in the interest of safeguarding the health of school going children, the District Magistrate has ordered that the time of commencement of classes in all the tuition centres operating in district Srinagar shall be from 9 a.m. onwards.
The order shall have immediate effect besides the institutions that do not comply with the order shall be dealt with severely under the relevant provisions of law.
Meanwhile, as per the Chief Education Officer, Anantnag, all the Proprietors of Private Coaching/Tuition Centre are informed either to get their Centres registered with Education Department and comply with the conditions laid down in J&K Regulation of Private Tuition Rules of 2010 for establishment/running such centres within one week or face appropriate legal action, including the closure of such centres. The prescribed application forms for registration and other details can be had from Chief Education Officer, Anantnag.
