SRINAGAR: Superintendent of Police, Traffic City, Srinagar has said that the traffic route plan in connection with Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) being observed at Dargah Hazratbal on January 04, has been finalized.
The vehicles from Lal Chowk to Dargah Hazratbal (Central Kashmir) shall enter the University Campus through Sir Syed gate and shall remain parked in the area of University Campus near Convocation Hall and also in the parking area inside NIT.
The route shall be via Lal Chowk – SRTC Bridge – Ikhwan crossing Police Station Khanyar, Bhori Kadal, Rajouri Kadal, Gojwari Chowk, Hawal, Sheri Bhat, Bagi Ali Mardan, Lal Bazar, Dargah Hazratbal. These vehicles shall be parked in NIT parking.
Moreover, the vehicles coming from North Kashmir i.e Baramulla-Kupwara-Handwara-Bandipora shall adopt route via Bemina Bye PassTatto GroundQamarwari-Cement BridgeNoor Bagh SekidafarSazgaripora-Hawal-Alamgari Bazar-Lal Bazar-Dargah Hazratbal. These vehicles shall remain parked in the temporary parking inside Kashmir University.
Vehicles coming from South Kashmir i.e. district Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam shall adopt Pantha Chowk-Sonwar Bazar-Gupkar-Grand Palace-Nishat-Foreshore and Habbak route. These vehicles shall be parked in Naseem Bagh parking area.
Vehicles coming from Ganderbal-Bandipora shall adopt the Zakoora-Pandach route. These vehicles shall also remain parked in Naseem Bagh parking area.
On return all vehicles shall adopt NITAishahi Bagh Crossing-Rainawari-Khalifapora-Nowpora bridge-Khayam Chowk (Right)-Ikhwan Crossing-SRTC Crossing route.
South Kashmir bound vehicles shall take left turn at SRTC crossing along Moulana Azad Bridge Dalgate towards Pantha Chowk and also Nishat Fore-shore route. However the vehicles bound for North Kashmir will be diverted at Khalifapora towards Peer Dastigeer Sahib Khanyar-Sumkachbal-Police Station Khanyar-Nalamar road-Qamarwari for their respective destinations.
Vehicles carrying people from Harwan-Anantnag-Pulwama and other areas shall adopt Dal Fore-Shore Road. People arriving from Kangan and Ganderbal areas shall disembark near Naseem Bagh and take the same route back.
