Srinagar: The state Met office on Tuesday predicted dry weather in valley with the temperatures in Srinagar recorded as 4.8°C and minimum -3.8°C respectively.
The state weather department has maintained the weather will generally remain dry during the coming four days.
For Srinagar, the weather department has predicted partly cloudy sky with maximum and minimum temperatures would be round 08°C and -03°C respectively.
For Jammu, there will be partly cloudy sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 18°C and 05°C respectively.
For Leh, the temperatures would be around 05°C and -16°C respectively with the sky partly cloudy.
In Srinagar, the maximum temperatures were recorded as 4.8 while as during night, it was -3.8°C.
In Jammu, days temperature was about 19.2°C while as the minimum temperatures in the region were recorded as 5.3.
Ladakh is shivering at -14.3°C during night and maximum temperatures in the region were recorded as 1.5°C.
‘Chillai-Kalan (the harsh winter) that arrived on December 21 would end on January 31,2015. The 40-day period would be followed by a 20-day long ‘Chillai Khurd’ (small cold) and a 10-day long ‘Chillai Bachha’ (little cold).The weather remains cold during this period as the day temperature also dip drastically, freezing most of the water bodies including the famous Dal Lake.
