Today thousands of hearts must be beating at high rates as newly elected government is just on the doors. Everyone, including the those who boycotted 2014 elections can be found gossiping and inquiring about the possibilities. However if exit polls are going to be believed then Jammu and Kashmir is again going to have a hung assembly either headed by BJP or by Mufti Sayeed led PDP.
And again Congress can emerge as kingmaker in case it crossed double digit mark.
Though it wont be sane to declare Mufti as CM even if exit polls are putting him as the front runner for “War of Numbers” might be over but ” War Of Principles ” has just begun. National Conference can bury their words along with the sentiments of people just to satisfy their greed of power. What if NC takes BJPs side to reach the magical figure? This probably will fetch the red party two goals. One, it would keep their political opponent (PDP ) out from the scene. Second, their greed of power will be somehow satiated. Years back Omar Abdullah was the part of BJP led NDA , so he might lead NC again under the saffron belt .On the other hand PDP will ditch the mandate of people in case it joined hands with the saffron party. As 2014 elections were not been bijli-sadak-pani centric alone but safe guarding Article 370 and checking the entry of communal BJP which drove people to polling booths. People voted in such huge percentage just to defeat Narrendra Modis mission 44+. However on the one side Omar has been found sending pro-BJP tweets on other side PDP stalwarts hope about absolute majority of their own.
Again common man’s interests and wishes are at stake. And to hold such hopes high, regional parties ought to stand united against the divisive forces trying to malign Kashmir image. If such parties are pro people, let their be a coalition govt between PDP and NC, in case needed. If National Conference can extend support to BJP why can not it support PDP? In such scenario Kashmir will witness a strong and accountable government.
Moreover Kashmiris will be united for a good cause. If Modi can make Gujarat a model state despite UPA being in power at the centre, why cant PDP & NC?? So Mufti Sayed and Omar Abdullah should ponder and must not be forced to shake hands with BJP.
What is going to happen on 23rd of December will be worth watching.
