Srinagar: Senior National Conference leader Nasir Aslam Wani Friday alleged that PDP was using a police officer and few government employees for electioneering in the Amira Kadal constituency.
In a statement Wani said, PDP has stooped to a new low and are now using police officer and government employees for election purposes. They (PDP) are using few police officers, some employees of the R&B department and various other departments for electioneering in Amira Kadal constituency.
We have got pictorial evidence of these employees working for PDP and helping them in the election campaign and other related purposes, Wani claimed and added chief electoral agent Haroon Rashid has also filed a complaint with Election Commission of India in this regard.
Wani said this is violation of spirit of democracy and PDP is disrespecting the government institutions People with dubious and contentious reputations have joined PDP as they feel safe in the lap of Mufti Sayeed, and after embracing the corrupt retired bureaucrats PDP is now actively involved in corrupting the serving government officials, he claimed.
Meanwhile, in a separate statement General Secretary National Conference Ali Mohammad Sagar has said that the track record of the people, who have joined PDP and are contesting elections, are the hints enough for general masses in Kashmir to think what this party is upto and what they will bring to Kashmir.
He said the National Conference took historic decisions and worked tremendously for the improvement of standard infrastructure in the old city, the result of which is that people in the old city have time and again reposed their faith in the NC government.
Sagar was continuing with his election campaign in Khanyar constituency. He rallied in dozens of areas in the old city including Reshipora and Khanayar.
The party (PDP) has chosen anti-social elements, corrupt entities and people involved in malpractice as their candidates for the city, he said.
He said the PDP completely neglected the Srinagar city and the funds meant for Srinagar were transferred to other districts.
Right from the day one PDP gave step motherly treatment to Srinagar city and was all set to shift the capital from Srinagar to Parihaspora, he said.
