SRINAGAR: Cold wave continued unabated in Kashmir division as minimum temperatures remained several degrees below the freezing point, even as many places including Srinagar witnessed the coldest night of the season so far.
Srinagar recorded the minimum temperature of minus 4.4 degrees Celsius, lowest so far this season, a spokesman of the MET Department here said.
He said the city had registered a low of minus 3.5 degrees Celsius the previous night.
Pahalgam recorded a low of minus 6.3 degrees Celsius, the spokesman said, adding it was the coldest night of the season there.
Gulmarg registered a minimum of minus 5.5 degrees Celsius, he said.
