Tral: A complete shutdown was observed in South Kashmirs Tral town in district Pulwama against the killing of two innocent civilians in a grenade explosion that rocked the town on Friday.
Unknown persons had hurled a grenade in Tral which claimed the lives of two civilians identified as Ghulam Hasan Gojri and Muhammad Shafi Gojri. All the shops and business establishments remained closed while transport was off the road.
PDP president Mehbooba Mufti was supposed to address an election rally in the town, however, the rally was postponed after the death of two civilians and subsequent shutdown in the town.
Large contingent of police and Para-military troopers were deployed to maintain law and order in the town. The day passed off peacefully and no untoward incident was reported from any part of the town, a police official told CNS.
