Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for questioning JKs accession with India.
In a statement here the BJP said: Omar is raising non-issues to divert the attention of the people as he failed to deliver as the Chief Minister of the state. Discussing political contours of Jammu and Kashmir doesnt fall in Omars domain. By giving such statements he is crossing the line.
Spokesman said that Omar has got no right to interfere in the foreign policy of India and issues related to the sovereignty of the country. Omar has sensed defeat and is questioning JKs accession with India to appease secessionist elements, he added.
The BJP spokesman took a dig at Omar for raising the issue of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) again and again. During his tenure as the Chief Minister he failed miserably to curb the corruption and get rid of such elements who made the entire system defunct. He has concentrated on the matters which dont fall within his domain. Had he concentrated on issues related to governance and the masses NC today would not have been at the brink of extinction, he said.
He exuded hope that BJP would form the next government in the state and would take all the corrupt politicians to task. BJP is committed to restore the pristine glory of Jammu and Kashmir and ensure that nobody takes the masses for a ride anymore, he added.
