SRINAGAR: Minister for Higher Education and National Conference candidate for Sonawari constituency Muhammad Akbar Lone Tuesday admitted that stone-pelting incidents in the constituency bar his supporters to cast votes in favour of National Conference. Yes, stone-pelting incidents in the constituency always affected me and my supporters, Lone told CNS and added that he has no power or authority to stop stone-pelting incidents in Sonawari Constituency.
Lone further said that he has neck to neck contest with Congress candidate Imtiyaz Ahmed Parrey while according to him, PDP candidate Yasir Reshi was nowhere in picture.
Reshi is nowhere in race and I am telling you with authority that I will win the seat with a big margin. I have inputs that people in different areas in constituency voted for me and I will defeat my nearest rival, Congress candidate with a big margin, he claimed.
Lone added that people voted for development and he (Lone) was wholly and solely responsible for the development of his constituency. (CNS)
