SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 15: A team of food safety officers of Drugs and food control organization headed by Assistant Commissioner Food Safety district Srinagar on a specific information regarding storage of flood hit items inspected Godowns at Bemina and Batmaloo areas of Srinagar city. Huge quantity of flood hit food items which included products of Hindustan COCA COLA Beverages Pvt. Ltd and ITC companies of Rs. 10 lakh were found in these godowns.
The proprietors of these godowns were loading these flood hit items for sending it back to the concerned manufacturing companies. There was every apprehension that the same consignment could have been reused/recycled. These items were kept in safe custody of the Food Business Operators and surety bond was executed from them, so that these items are properly destroyed.
