Poonch: Army on Wednesday said that they have foiled an infiltration bid in Mankote sector along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
An army official said that after noticing the movement of seven to eight infiltrators along LoC in Sonawali Gali at around 9:15 pm last night, army men fired on them and pushed them towards the other side. The firing continued till 11:00 pm, the official said.
He said following the intrusion bid, army conducted searches throughout the day in the area. The search operation concluded at 4:00 pm today, he added. (GNS)
