Srinagar: Acting upon the directions of the high court, the Srinagar district administration on Saturday dismantled various illegal structures constructed on the banks of flood channels.
As the high court has directed to clear the flood channels from the mounting illegal structures, the Srinagar district administration has started a drive against the illegal constructions along the dodh ganga flood channel.
The spokesman of the district administration told KNS that the drive shall continue in future also and that one person was arrested on Saturday while dismantling the structures.
He added that stern action will be taken against the person who are found violating the court order and that there will be no compromise in making the drive a success.(KNS)
