SRINAGAR: During its drive to check sale of flood hit medicine, supervisory staff of Drug & Food Control Organisation conducted inspections in Anantnag, Bijbehara, Sangam, Kokernag, Narbal, Magam, Kanihama, Handwara Kupwara, Armapora, Palhalan, Pampore, Shadimarg, Yaar, Shopian, Dab Ganderbal, Bamloora, Wakoora, Repora, Lar & Natipora.
A senior official said that during the drive 150 drug sale establishments (Retail & Wholesale) were inspected among which licenses of seven firms were suspended and drugs worth Rs. 12,455 were confiscated by the supervisory staff.
These are M/s Star Medicate Snagam Anantnag, M/s Javaid Medical Store Bijbehara, M/s Wani Medial Store Sagam Kokernag, M/s Smile Pharmacy Ganjiwara Anantnag, M/s Rifah Medical Store Thoker Market Anantnag, M/s New Darul Shafa Medicate Palhalan, M/s Sami Medicose Natipora and M/s Modern Medicate Natipora.
