Srinagar: State BJP Monday accusing the coalition government of pick and choose during the recent transfers in police and administration ordered by the state cabinet.
The state BJP leaders alleged that the recent cabinet meeting in which transfers of police and civil administration were ordered, was aimed to serve the political interests of National Conference and Congress.
The transfers ordered in the cabinet recently were done so that officers, both police and civil, could serve the interests of both the party during the coming state elections, the leaders told KNS in a statement.
BJP state leader Anwar Khan urged the Election Commission of India to intervene into the matter at the earliest, stating that the cabinet orders are contrary to the ECI guidelines. He also took a jibe at the coalition government accusing it of failing on all grounds to deliver in JK.
He stressed that BJP wants the conduction of polls as free and fair, hence would oppose to any such measure that hurdles the same. (KNS)
